Hey ,
I have to admit something.
When John Lee showed me one of his videos, I was sure it wouldn’t work.
It featured a wise old Chinese grandfather named David Chen. Glasses. Well dressed. Sharing advice about money.
|
David Chen isn’t real. He’s an AI character John created in under five minutes. And it’s obvious. Nobody watching thinks he’s a real person.
That video got 1.2 million views.
And over 4,000 leads.
I asked John what those leads would normally cost if you paid for them with ads. About $20 each, he said.
That’s roughly $80,000 worth of leads, from a five-minute video of someone who doesn’t exist.
Then he told me what people write in the comments:
“I know it’s AI, but I don’t care, because the information is good.”
|
I told him on camera: “You just demolished one of my arguments.”
Let me tell you about John, because he’s one of the smartest minds I’ve ever met when it comes to turning attention into income.
He started out washing dishes in his mom’s Chinese takeaway. He’s dyslexic, and school never came easily. But he found his edge in creativity, and became a visual effects animator for Framestore and EA Games.
He didn’t know it then, but those special-effects skills were the perfect training for a world where AI makes video.
Today, John packs 4,000 people into rooms in Dubai and Singapore to teach social media monetization. His book, Money Unlocked, is a New York Times bestseller. And he’s built a system that takes a stranger scrolling Instagram all the way to a $125,000 program.
Honestly? I don’t know anyone who has built a funnel as elegant as his.
In this episode of Extraordinary Minds Podcast, he breaks down his entire funnel. Nothing held back.
|
Here’s what you’ll learn:
|
- The 4-tool stack he uses to build an AI avatar, and why the voice matters more than the face
- Why AI-written hooks are “slop”, and where his winning hooks actually come from
- A DM automation most creators don’t know exists: a message to every new follower
- The 3-second test that decides which videos he puts ad money behind
- Why your ad can’t look like an ad
- His 30-30-30-10 rule for what to do with your profits
|
But the line I keep coming back to is this one:
“People don’t want to pay for education anymore. They want to pay for outcomes.”
Think about that.
When AI can answer almost any question for free, information stops being the product.
The result is the product.
If you’re a coach, an expert or a creator who gets views but not revenue, this might be the most useful 41 minutes of your week.

One more thing that I don't want you to miss:
|
In the podcast John shows you what happens when you stop using AI for small tasks and put it to work in your business.
But, if you want to go deeper on how AI can help you find more clients, grow your business, and get your time back?
Then this opportunity is for you: Join AI for founders Summit to be guided live, step-by-step on how to put AI to work.
|
We won’t spend three days talking about AI. We’ll put it to work inside real businesses:
|
- Day 1: More reach, not more tools. Find the offer your customers actually want. Build a website that brings in customers. Fix your sales page with AI. Turn one idea into a month of content.
- Day 2: More clients, not more busywork. See where your funnel leaks. Build an AI sales assistant that follows up with every lead. Watch five AI workflows run one founder’s business.
- Day 3: A business bigger than your hours. Find out what breaks when you step away. Meet your first five AI-supported roles. See the AI CEO Command Center I run my week from.
|
You’ll get 16 live sessions with 8 experts who put AI to work in real businesses: Vishen Lakhiani, Noelle Russell, Vykintas Glodenis, Marisha Lakhiani, Sara Davison, Tyler Fisk, Ajit Nawalkha and Joe Stolte.
It’s 3 days, and it runs through the weekend, so you don’t need to take time off work to be there.
This weekend (Friday, Oct 30 – Sunday, Nov 1), Live on Zoom, 100% free
We only run this once a year, and there are no replays.
Hope to see you live,
Vishen
