Hi there,
We have good news — and we need to act on it fast.
The Massachusetts House passed smart kratom regulations as part of its Economic Development bill. A six-member conference committee will now decide if that language stays in the final bill. At the same time, we are continuing to urge Governor Healey to reverse the emergency ban on natural kratom leaf.
The House did the right thing. Now we need the conference committee to keep it — and the Governor to reverse the ban. Both actions matter right now.
If you know someone in Massachusetts, please share this with them. Every voice helping our MA kratom community take action today brings us one step closer to getting the ban reversed.

🚨 TWO ACTIONS — DO BOTH RIGHT NOW 🚨
Action 1 — Email the Conference Committee
Urge all six conferees to keep the House-passed kratom regulations in the final Economic Development bill.
→ Rep. Aaron Michlewitz, House — Aaron.M.Michlewitz@mahouse.gov
→ Rep. Carole Fiola, House — Carole.Fiola@mahouse.gov
→ Rep. Michael Soter, House — Michael.Soter@mahouse.gov
→ Sen. Barry Finegold, Senate — Barry.Finegold@masenate.gov
→ Sen. Mike Rodrigues, Senate — Michael.Rodrigues@masenate.gov
→ Sen. Peter Durant, Senate — Peter.Durant@masenate.gov
When you write, say:
→ Keep the House-passed kratom regulations in the final Economic Development bill
→ Regulate, don't ban — age limits, testing, and labeling protect consumers while preserving responsible adult access
→ Follow the DEA's lead — they scheduled concentrated synthetic 7-OH while leaving natural kratom leaf alone
→ Share your personal story — how natural kratom leaf has helped you
Action 2 — Contact Governor Healey
Urge the Governor to reverse the emergency ban on natural kratom leaf.
Email form: mass.gov/info-details/email-the-governors-office
Call: 617-725-4005
When you write or call, say:
→ Reverse the scheduling of natural kratom leaf — the federal government drew a clear line, Massachusetts should too
→ Natural kratom leaf is not concentrated synthetic 7-OH — banning natural leaf punishes responsible adults for a problem caused by synthetic products
→ Regulation protects consumers — age limits, testing, and labeling keep consumers safe while preserving access. A ban drives people to unregulated alternatives
→ Share your story — tell the Governor how natural kratom leaf has helped you
The MA emergency ban is still in effect — but the momentum has shifted. The House got it right. Now we need the conference committee and the Governor to follow through. Take both actions today.
Thank you for standing up for safe, regulated access to natural kratom.
For the community,
